Media Camp (Past)

The first major event for CPM was a 2-week media camp. We had no money. All we had was some basic video equipment donated by a church in Georgia. John worked 5 other jobs to pay the bills, even while he organized the curriculum, recruited the students, and found a location we could use for free. At the last minute, we received a government grant and were able to hire several temporary workers to help with the camp. In addition, several professionals also volunteered, included a stunt man, a costume designer, and a makeup artist. We shopped for clothes at Value Village (our local thrift store), aged them, and after a day of makeup, shot and edited a short film that John wrote called “Sometimes in the morning.” 

We expect camps to be a regular part of the activity of CPM in the future.
