Yuk Hing Kong (Vancouver)
Advisory Board
“Kong” – as he is affectionally known to his friends – was born and raised in Hong Kong, received a B.A. in Chinese & European history from Hong Kong Baptist University and a M.Div. in theology from Hong Kong Baptist Seminary. In 2002, Kong moved to Vancouver, Canada, along with his wife, Teresa, his daughter, Alanna (who studies at the University of Toronto), and his 94-year old mom – and they all lived under one roof.
While in Vancouver, Kong has been able to serve international students from Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and various other parts of southeast Asia. His passion to inspire students has led Kong to adopt Creation Point as his own ministry, and he shares the vision of CPM with Asian people all over the world.
Early in 2017, Kong suffered a stroke, which nearly killed him, but his passion for ministry (and for CPM) inspired him to get on his feet. In addition, says Kong, (who is always looking on the bright side) the stroke helped him lose 55 pounds that he did not need.
